We Are Not as Civilized as We Think

Humanity is still underdeveloped, not technologically, but mentally and morally. We remain constrained by harmful traditions, distorted interpretations of religion, social inequality, and the belief that the powerful have the right to exploit the weak.

I believe that, a hundred years from now, people will look back at 2026 in disbelief. They will ask: “Were people really starving while others lived in extreme wealth? Did homeless people really sleep in the streets? Were there wars in which innocent civilians and children were killed? Were children abused, trafficked, and stripped of their most basic rights?”

They will struggle to understand why human beings caused so much suffering for money, power, control, and domination, things that ultimately have no real value compared with human life.

Women are still oppressed in many parts of the world, particularly in deeply patriarchal societies. Some are denied education, freedom of movement, activities, opportunities, and control over their own lives. Some are forced to cover their faces and bodies not through personal choice, but through social or legal pressure. This oppression is often justified through religion, even though it is rooted in male domination and cultural control, not genuine faith.

Even animals are not safe. They are killed unnecessarily, mistreated, or kept imprisoned for entertainment like in the zoo.

None of this should be considered normal. I hope that one day, women, children, men, and animals will be safe and free. I hope every human being will have dignity, education, shelter, food, and fundamental rights and that cruelty, oppression, war, and exploitation will belong only to history.
